Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is situated at an elevation of approximately 3,300 meters (10,800 feet) in the Garhwal Himalayas.

The main attraction in Badrinath is the Badrinath Temple, which is an important religious and cultural landmark. The temple is believed to be established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century and is an essential destination for devotees of Lord Vishnu. It features a black stone idol of Lord Badrinarayan (a form of Lord Vishnu) and attracts a significant number of pilgrims and tourists each year, especially during the summer months.

Joshimath, also known as Jyotirmath, is a town located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India.
One of the main attractions in Joshimath is the Narasimha Temple, dedicated to Lord Narasimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. This temple holds great religious significance and is an important stop for pilgrims traveling to Badrinath.

Joshimath is also the winter seat of Lord Badrinath. During the winter months when the Badrinath Temple remains closed due to heavy snowfall, the idol of Lord Badrinath is brought down to Joshimath and worshipped in the Narasimha Temple.
