এই যে এত রঙের ছটা কজন জানি কে তাঁর প্রিয়জনকে হারিয়ে অন্তরালে কাঁদছে। কতজন জানি সার্জারি করতে করতে ২৯-৩ ০বছরের একজন ডাক্তার ভুলেই গেছে যে মহালয়া পেরিয়ে গেছে তর্পণ করা হয় নি। পুলিশের ঘরের রেডিওটা ঠিক করা যায় নি কারণ এখন তো সারাদিন ডিউটি। এই কথাগুলোই তো শিল্পীরা তুলে ধরে শিল্পের মাধ্যমে আর আপনারাই থাকেন এই সৃষ্টির পাশে আর আমার দৃঢ় বিশ্বাস আমাদের এই কাজটির পাশেও আপনারা থাকবেন...

Mahalaya marks the onset of Durga Puja, but it also carries a sense of melancholy as it honors the departed souls. Families remember their loved ones, reflecting on loss and longing. The recitation of the Mahalaya hymns invokes both reverence and sorrow, as the call for the goddess signifies hope amidst grief.
