Participated in a lecture performance by Vũ Đức Toàn. He told a story about an artist who wanted to do a performance in an event he curated but couldn’t be there due to political issues so they send him a 12L bottle of water with 12 drops of their tears and asked to serve the audience on site, which didn’t happen as well because it was during the pandemic and the space manager didn’t allow them to for safety.

In the performance, he told the story in Vietnamese to another Vietnamese artist Đặng Thùy Anh who speaks English, and then I translate what she told me from English to Chinese. After the story being told, he asked one of the audience to sit with me in one chair, and then brought two beers to us.

Later after the performance I found out that the audience's beer was frozen and mine was not. I asked why. Toan said because otherwise the two beer will be too perfectly the same, but only us would notice the difference. I thought it was beautiful.
