Unexpected and unbelievable! I needed to break a journey home so I stopped in at IWM Duxford. I was offered the tour at the entrance counter and thought this doesn’t happen often so I said yes! What was scheduled as an hour turned into nearly 2 due to the enthusiasm of Stephen and Lawrence. These volunteers brought alive to me an icon that did so much to keep us safe but also at such great cost to the brave men that served on them. The talk was over an hour and I couldn’t film all that but in the footage I’ve got if there was anything captured that I was able to use I’ve put it in. I appreciate there are great films out there about the history of this aircraft but for me this was simply the opportunity to simply get up close. Just superb. Paul. Ps I know I say wow a lot but I was quite stuck for words!!
