Here we will show you how to remove and replace the rear shocks on your Aveo. This applies to all model years of Aveo and Pontiac Wave/G3. Due to severe rust/corrosion, this job was not as straightforward as it could have been. Replacement of the shock mounts is highly recommended as they are inexpensive and will save you time and frustration. If you are reusing your existing mounts, have an angle grinder with metal cutoff wheel available, and be safer than we were with it.
