Our camping trip to East Fork State Park in Batavia, Ohio (near Cincinnati) May 10-13, 2024. This was a rare weekend camping trip for us, mainly because our weekday plans got canceled due to severe weather - and we NEEDED to camp! We hadn't tried East Fork sooner because we had heard it can be very crowded and noisy, and because the lake is huge and allows unlimited horsepower. If you follow us, you know we enjoy secluded campsites, the sounds of nature, and smaller fishing lakes. Honestly, we only chose East Fork because the weather was going to be about 15 degrees warmer with less rain than a park up in northern Ohio where we had planned to camp. I'm so glad we did! Not just because of the weather, but because we REALLY liked this campground! We had a great time kayak fishing, biking, and exploring the whole - huge - campground. The park volunteers provided "Muffins for Mom" for mothers day, and we did indulge! We met Kim and Doug Steward, very nice people who subscribe to our channel, and visited them for a while, learning we had a lot in common and may plan to meet up sometime soon. The camping community is so friendly!!
