Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is a social-psychological model by Abraham Maslow and arranges human needs and motivations in classes and presents them hierarchically in a pyramid. This pyramid deals with the question of what actually drives people. Overall, we are talking about five different classes of needs that build on each other:
Physiological needs
Security needs
Love and social belonging needs
Esteem needs
Self-actualization
The lowest levels are also referred to as basic needs, the mid level as Physiological needs, and the top level of the pyramid as self-fullfilment needs.
