Starlo kicked off this trout season using a little Shimano Vanford 500 FA spinning reel matched to a very sweet 5'9" Shimano Expride 259UL spin rod. He spooled up with 6 pound Kairiki braid, and attached a rod-length leader of 4 pound Ocea FC fluorocarbon.
