Sowon originally trained to be the rapper of the group but after Gfriend debuted she became a vocalist instead. Since Gfriend debuted with a powerful and innocent concept, rapping didn't seem to fit in to their songs' aesthetic. Sowon started off lacking singing skills but is always improving!
