The 'Symphony of the Air' was formerly Toscanini's 'NBC Orchestra' without a conductor & financed by donation from all over the USA. It soon began to attract conductor's the likes of Bruno Walter, Charles Munch, Pierre Monteux & Leopold Stokowski but here in Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite they manage very well without them.
