When I began filming this video in 2017, there weren't many wired video doorbells available on the market. Since then they seem to be coming out slowly, but even still don't seem fully ready yet. Certainly they will hit the market in larger versions in the future, but we just aren't quite there yet. The Ring Elite seems to be the only wired one with built in relay for chimes, but has a hefty price tag, and not sure if you can record on an NVR without a subscription?

So I took a chance with a fairly common Chinese video doorbell/intercom product, and got it working. Of course, 2-way sound won't work, and the resolution is only SD, but it works fine if you don't care about those things.
