I have been wanting to sew upcycled mittens from old sweaters for quite some time - and the recent Bernie mittens reminded me - so I grabbed some sweaters from a thrift shop and sewed up a few pairs.

This is a fun sewing project to advance your skills because you are sewing something 3 dimensional and not just flat seams - give it a try!!
