The device used to check blood pressure is called Sphygmomanometer. It is a technical name though, you can simply call it BP Apparatus. This video shows the comparison of Digital and Manual BP Apparatus. It also shows two types of Manual BP Apparatus. That are, Mercury and Aneroid Sphygmomanometers.

Then you will see two methods used to check blood pressure manually. One is Auscultatory Method while the other is Palpatory Method. Differences of both of these methods are discussed.

At the end, you can see normal blood pressure readings according to latest guidelines of American College of Cardiology.
