Showcase Comics 60 Episode 1: Background, assessment, and conservation game plan.

In this video series we evaluate this key silver age comic book--Showcase Comics #60 from February of 1966, the first silver age appearance of the Spectre, for clean and press and submission to CGC. In today’s video I review the history of the Spectre, why his first silver age appearance matters, and do a complete assessment of the comic for submission to CGC! Along the way it is revealed that someone has cleaned this comic book before, and not very well!

The materials and methods I use are archival and are reversible. If done properly, they do not result in a purple restored label from CGC.
