I had three business trips to Muscat in the last three months and stayed at the Millennium four times ( I took a long weekend at the Grand Hyatt in between two stays).

The Millennium is a solid business hotel, but it's rather arid environment, devoid of gardens, and lack of bars, makes a 4 star rating seem more appropriate than the 5 star rating it gives itself.
However, the rooms are very comfortable and the proximity of the adjacent Muscat Grand Mall, makes for a carefree business stay.
If you are a tourist, however, I would recommend a hotel closer to the sea front.
