In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew speaks with Alex Rodriguez of Urban Drones about the new waterproof Spry drone from SwellPro. Not only is the drone waterproof, but its controller is also waterproof. This allows both of them to be taken on aquatic adventures such as swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, jet skiing, kayaking and so on. If the Spry lands upside down in the water, it is capable to submerging and righting itself. The Spry drone incorporates a 4K video camera on a one-axis gimbal, capable of capturing 12 megapixel stills. Content is recorded on a MicroSD card stored inside the Spry's waterproof battery compartment. Unlike most commercial drones sold today, the Spry uses a conventional 5.8 GHz First-Person View (FPV) system, making it compatible with Fat Shark and other video goggles commonly used in drone racing. The Spry has a 13-minute flight time.
