For this #30SecondFieldTrip we visit ‪@ThePhiladelphiaOrchestra‬ as they rehearse composer William Grant Still’s work, “Wood Notes,” using a new set of definitive orchestra materials.

Principal librarian Nicole Jordan and assistant conductor Austin Chanu share a behind-the-scenes look into the process of preparing this work for public performance. The rehearsal was conducted by music & artistic director ‪@yannicknezet-seguin1088‬.

You can hear Grant Still’s “Wood Notes” as part of the free “Our City, Your Orchestra Live” community festival and performance on June 26 at ‪@templeuniversity‬ Performing Arts Center in Philadelphia, PA. #PewArtsGrants
