In the spring of 2012, a photo of a thin, timid Walking Horse mare named Millie caught my eye. Sometimes the heart must rule the head. Messages were sent, phone calls were made, and a wonderful group of good Samaritans went to work to help us bring Millie home. So began a journey through rehabilitation, building health and building trust between me and the fearful mare with the beautiful eyes. This video is for those who saw the beauty beneath, and for those who are wondering if the fight is worth it.
