These Louisiana Meat Pies or better known as Natchitoches meat pies are delicious! Very easy to make and full of flavor.
Natchitoches Meat Pies
Dough
5 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ tsp Kosher Salt
1 ¼ tsp baking powder
1 stick unsalted butter
2 eggs
1 ½ cups whole milk

Filling
Vegetable oil for frying
1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground pork
2 Tbsp Cajun or Creole Seasoning
1 tsp kosher salt
1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup small diced yellow onion
½ cup small diced green bell pepper
½ cup small diced celery
1 tbsp minced garlic
½ cup of beef stock

Optional: pepper jack cheese or cheddar or whatever cheese you like.
