Saturday 31st August brings a start to a brand new era. After many years running as a joint operator service. Arriva announced a brand new timetable making the service fully-Arriva at normal times with extra journeys and now starting at Derby Bus Station.
Then, later in August, Trent announced they were making their X38's every 15 minutes as separate new service starting at Corporation Street with a temporary fleet of ex H1 branded eclipses.
However, it does not stop there. The new Trent timetable was registered to run from 7th September, meaning for the first week, the service was free.
But what does that mean for the pre-7th September timetable? It was down to local operator, Notts + Derby to step in and run it otherwise Trent could get into trouble for not running a full timetabled service.

So, filmed on the very first day, we see the X38's as they start at 3 different bus stop points in Derby, followed by a small scene at Royal Derby where I wanted to ride the Unibus to Burton. So the Burton scenes are to be filmed another day.

So, which X38 are you choosing? Arriva who starts at the bus station, or Trent who accepts Mango
