Welcome back! We will be installing an electric condenser fan on a Passat today. This is a very common repair for these cars. For 1.8 turbo, diesel, and W8 engines, it is recommended to put the vehicle into service mode. Tools required are basic torx socket set, deep well sockets, extensions, and screwdrivers. No crazy tools for this job! You may need help with positioning the radiator support back to the correct spot but other than that it is a fairly easy job.
