On Bahraich violence, former Uttar Pradesh CM & SP chief Akhilesh Yadav says, "First of all, I would like to appeal that all the concerned parties should work towards maintaining the law and order. What happened is unfortunate. The administration, government and media know why it happened. Government should do justice...When the procession began, administration should have taken note of its route, adequate security on the route, adequate Police deployment. If I tell you what was being played on those loudspeakers, then government will say something else. But the Administration should have at least taken note of what was being played (on loudspeakers), are they insulting anyone? So, the entire responsibility was that of Administration and Government. Due to the Administration's negligence, such a major incident occurred...Government, Administration and their vote bank politics are responsible for what is happening in Bahraich and elsewhere. They are doing this deliberately...I appeal to the people to understand the tactic of BJP, they want to get political benefit by spreading hatred and dividing society."
