It's been a while but I am back with another of my Wainwright walks, this time from the Northern Fells in Alfred Wainwrights fifth book. The Northern fells include some biggies like Blencathra so stay tuned and subscribed to see those walks soon (I promise).

Today's walk started in a lay by near to Dodd Wood (cheap skate) and took us onto a ridge that covers Ullock Pike, Long Side and Carl Side. Once up on the edge, it was fairly easy walking with some spectacular views. From Carl Side, we descended down towards Dodd Wood and headed up to Dodd for some incredible views towards Bassenthwaite and Derwentwater. Honestly, Dodd is an absolute stunner.
