If you have Dodgers season tickets, you can enter the stadium three hours early, and if you're friends with season ticket holders, they can bring you in as a guest. It's a pretty sweet deal here in Los Angeles, and I wish every MLB team did this. (The Yankees, for example, open just 90 minutes before game time for everyone, so you can't see Aaron Judge or Giancarlo Stanton take batting practice, but I digress.)

Anyway, there's all kinds of interesting stuff that takes place before the game starts, and of course there are opportunities to catch baseballs -- so that's what I did. I got a couple from the Dodgers in the Home Run Seats, and then I got two more from the Arizona Diamondbacks on the 1st base side.

Batting practice was a struggle for me, and I somehow missed a Mookie Betts home run during the game, but hey, at least I was in a section with all-inclusive/unlimited food so I got to eat my sorrows away. But no, really, it was a fun day all around, and Madison Bumgarner pitched a gem.
