LeaderShape invites you to join us again for a free series of virtual crowd-sourced conversations with each day focused on a different topic that allows leadership educators to join in community to strategize and “reimagine” your student leadership initiatives for the upcoming academic year. Over 2,300 people registered to join us for our first six series and we are excited to offer this opportunity again.

This conversation is lightly facilitated by Tanya O. Williams, Ed.D. and Courtney Ball. Courtney designs and facilitates transformational experiences. She cares about and prioritizes co-creating sessions, workshops, courses, retreats, etc. that enable us to connect more deeply to ourselves, each other, and to life. She has worked within and adjacent to Higher Education for 10+ years and currently works at the University of Colorado - Boulder and lives in Denver, CO.

Tanya’s mission is to provide and create spaces in relationships, conversations, communities for all people to feel seen and appreciated for their authentic selves. She believes that educating and working toward equity, as well as creating spaces of justice and communication all grow out of that desire. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Tanya is based in New York City and leads Authentic Coaching and Consulting (www.authenticseeds.org). She has over 20 years of diversity, inclusion, and social justice teaching, programming and facilitation experience in higher education including professional roles at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Mount Holyoke College, and Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York.

She holds a doctorate (Ed.D) in Social Justice Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and her dissertation focused on internalized oppression and process toward liberation. She also holds an MS in Educational Administration and BA in Journalism and English from Texas A&M University.
