Voted one of North America's Top Ten Hikes, Newfoundland's Skerwink Trail is just breathtaking, both in her beauty and in her climb to the pinnacle overlooking the cliffs over the water. We knew we wanted to make this 3-4 hour hike but our 10-yr-old pup Maggie had no intentions of letting us do it without her. So knowing we'd probably have to carry her we headed off on the hike. We've since bought a dog backpack/carrier but on this trip we had to improvise.

Our reward?... the best hike we've ever experienced... then the best grilled cheese sandwich. And all that was topped off by a great place to boondock and wake up the next morning on Lynn's birthday.
