The past and present will soon join forces on the Southside. Last week, the Danville and Pittsylvania County Regional Industrial Facility Authority passed a resolution to enter a sale contract with the owners of the former Oak Hill Plantation site in Pittsylvania County with the hopes of buying it.

The nearly 200-year-old site is right next to the Southern Virginia Megasite at Berry Hill.
