According to variety.com, Word percolating on the Pacific Northwest celebrity real estate Street is that billionaire media mogul Oprah Winfrey bought a $8.275 million secluded compound on Washington State’s postcard-ready Orcas Island, one of the four largest islands that comprise the San Juan Islands archipelago between Seattle and Vancouver. The completely private compound encompasses two waterfront parcels that together measure around 43 acres with approximately 3,000-feet of unspoiled, west-facing shoreline overlooking the island’s East Sound. Built in 2007, the stone-accented three-story main residence has four bedrooms and three full and two half bathrooms in 7,303-square-feet.
