Welcome to another episode of The Eight Nine Garage! In this video, I put the Ford Thunderbird / Mercury Cougar radiator cooling fan to the test to determine its actual CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) rating. These fans are a popular junkyard modification for many car enthusiasts, but how much airflow do they really deliver? Alongside testing the CFM, I also use an amp clamp to measure both the startup and running current draw of the fan, providing a comprehensive look at its performance. I'll walk you through the testing process and share the results, packing you with the information needed to decide if this fan is right for you.
This fan was OEM on the following vehicles:
Ford Thunderbird 1994-1997
Mercury Cougar 1994-1997
