I visited several Dying almost Empty Ghost Towns in Rural Nevada, experienced the history, and chatted with locals to find out why Americans choose to live in these haunted forgotten corners of the state, such as Beatty, Rhyolite, Goldfield & Silver Peak.

Nevada is home to MORE Ghost Towns than any other state, with over 600 zip coded locations. What is a ghost town? A city which once had an active community that has since been abandoned by all or nearly all its residents!
The state vast natural resources, particularly gold, silver, and lithium led to the creation of many boomtowns and mining camps over the past 150 years which have since lost a significant percentage of their populations.

But while the majority of them are completely abandoned, there are also a few "living" ghost towns, where people still live, despite few jobs, bad weather, lack of resources, and extreme isolation, with some towns being so remote, the nearest grocery store is 100 miles away!

What is life really like in Esmeralda County & Nye County, Nevada? And who chooses to live in these remote, poor, rural communities? Join me on this epic road trip to find out.
