Tip: Reduce the temperature (flame) as necessary to
prevent overflow or rice boiling over.

Parboiled Rice 1 cup rice 2 cups water boil for 20 mins
Use a non stick pot or skillet to eliminate excessive stirring. Medium heat/ flame.

Jasmine Rice
Jasmine Rice to Water Ratio is 1 cup of rice to 1 1/2 cups of water.
Cooking Time: 15 to 20 minutes.
Bring the water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Stir in the rice and the salt; cover and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 15 minutes until all of the water is absorbed. Taste the rice; if it is still too firm, add a few more tablespoons of water.

Basmati Rice
Basmati Rice to Water Ratio is 1cup of basmati rice to 1 1/2 cups of water.
Cooking time: 15 to 20 minutes
In a medium pot, bring the water, butter, salt, and rice to a boil. Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid, then turn the heat down to a simmer and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, until all of the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.

Brown Rice
Brown Rice to Water Ratio is 1 cup of rice to 2 cups of water but may require more water
In a medium pot, bring the water, butter, salt, and rice to a boil. Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid, then turn the heat down to a simmer and cook for 25 to 30 minutes, until all of the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
