Statistics (normative validation, distributions, epidemiology)

Self-reporting of emotions and cognitions

Medicalization (pathologies that need fixing)

Individual vs. relational behavioral dysfunctions

Categories vs. dimensions

Even if we do not pathologize and medicalize and even if deal in spectra and continua, the other foundations are still valid.
