Gaby Markle ’26 was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when she was 4 years old. Today, as part of her Cornell University experience, she is working as an undergraduate researcher with biological and environmental engineering professor Minglin Ma, investigating possible treatments using synthetic biology.
