Following the demise of King Piccolo, Bulma starts getting worried about a very pressing issue - one day, she'll be old and wrinkly like Piccolo was. However, using the Dragon Balls seems too extreme. She theorizes that maybe ki can affect her aging somehow, or at the very least, help her stay fit. Thankfully she has a lot of people around her who can show her the ropes, and it turns out that she really likes working with ki and martial arts!
