Why is Joy's hair blue? In this video, I provide both a practical and an interpretive explanation for Joy's blue hair in Inside Out and Inside Out 2. I also analyze the significance of Joy's blue (rather than blonde) hair, and I conclude by explaining how Joy's blue hair reinforces some of the key emotional themes in the Inside Out series.
