This is my very first House/Pet Sit Experience with TrustedHouseSitters in my home state of Texas. I’m from Houston, but I relocated to Dallas in October 2021. Coming home for the holidays, various getaways, and family functions can be challenging when trying to find a place to stay without intruding on other friends or family. Of course, I have such lodging options, but I don’t want to depend on my peeps to accommodate me during my visits back to Houston, or wherever I may want to visit in the United States (US). Even more, I want to travel to other countries, like Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Greece, France, Italy, or Morocco!

I have been working remotely as an Accounting Manager for a software company since 2018, and I truly appreciate the opportunity of working from home. After doing some research on my goal of becoming a digital nomad domestically and internationally, I came across my tribe of mature single black women who travel solo worldwide and gain support via groups like @Exodus Summit. Now I want to talk about ALL of my experiences.

From the epiphany of realizing I can do my job from anywhere, to planning my 2023 exploratory/scouting trip in various countries in the EU and Mexico, discovering how to enjoy travel via petsitting by caring for other traveler’s home and pets, to realizing my dream of actually moving to the Unknown by opening my mind to new possibilities. . . let’s talk about it!!
