Many drivers complained about the track's conditions as they secured their place for Sunday's race. In the end though, Lando Norris secured pole position, setting a time of 1:29.525. Max Verstappen will join the McLaren driver on the front row at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

Lando Norris finished fastest during Q1 whilst, Daniel Ricciardo, Lance Stroll, Pierre Gasly, Valtteri Bottas, and Zhou Guanyu were all eliminated. George Russell also complained on the radio during the session that he had no grip, with his teammate Lewis Hamilton also having issues with the rear. In Q2, Alex Albon, Franco Colapinto, Sergio Perez, Kevin Magnussen and Esteban Ocon were all eliminated. Oscar Piastri finished the session as the fastest driver.

The final ten drivers then battled it out in Q3 to secure their slot on the grid. A red flag was brought out after Carlos Sainz crashed into the wall, and the session got underway again with eight minutes on the clock.
