The float is the amount of shares that traders can freely trade. These stocks aren't locked up by institutions, insiders or employees in compensation plans. In day trading world, a low float stock has less than ten million shares available to trade.

Why do traders care about low float stocks? Why do they target them so often?

Low float stocks can make big moves and help grow small accounts. These stocks can routinely go from one, to three, to nine dollars and even higher in the same day. If you’re working to grow a small account, you’ll want to look at low float stocks.

What makes StocksToTrade so great?

Every screener, tool, filter, watchlist, chart and data box in StocksToTrade has the ability to list and target low float stocks. Tim Bohen personally requested some of these features because he loves trading volatile, low float stocks.

How do you start trading low floats?

Start watching stocks with less than ten million float, that have news and are up on the day. Paper trade them to test it out first. Be sure to stay disciplined, have a trade plan, and stop out when you hit your max loss.
