I am a little late to the discussion, but here is what I think about the new bikes that Harley Decided to release recently. They are attempting to attract a younger market as their older customers are fading away. This is a good thing. But they are going about it all wrong. Most millennials don't have the extra money to spend on a bike that costs as much as a car! Especially when the bikes are stuck in the dark ages. You have to improve and adapt to survive. It looks like Harley either doesn't want to, or for some reason cant! Even those of us than can afford them, don't want them! They have lackluster performance, way too much weight, and a lack of basic features that you can get on beginner bikes. If they want to survive and thrive, they need to start getting some of those to market. No more detuning engines for a cool sound. No more $20k bikes without any features, no more using the heaviest materials available just to look cool. Also, no more revealing a new line of bikes, that are just as disappointing as the bikes they are made to replace! I am scared for the company.
