I found three helpful books for metal detecting and eyeballing finds at the thrift store and I spent less than 5 dollars for all three! Two of these books can help you with identifying metal detecting coin finds and the third book is helpful when identifying pottery found while eyeballing fields.
Results will vary in the stores but if you shop in. thrift. stores be sure to always check out the book section for helpful resources relating to the hobby.
