In the 1700s, European colonials were incentivised to have children with local Indian women in order to create a mixed-race generation loyal to European interests. Anglo-Indians were born. Their dual heritage afforded them a privileged position. After India gained its independence 1947, these privileges were swept away. They became a forgotten race. This film tells the story of one such family's escape to London in search of a better life.
