Cargo Ship M/V Arvin breaks into two and sinks in Black Sea by the shores of Bartın and Zonguldak 17th of January 2021. 6 out of 12 crew members were rescued by turkish coast guard, unfortunately 3 found dead and 3 missing.
M/V Arvin was built as Volgo-Balt 189 in 1974. Later named Arvin. Volgo Balt type cargo ships are designed to carry cargo in rivers and not very adequate for high seas, however lots of them can be seen operated in open seas, especially Black Sea which is known for unforgiving storms, trio wave form which claimed many ships. Hope we don't see such tragedies anymore.
