This song is about Obi-Wan Kenobi remembering and regretting Anakin Skywalker's journey as a Jedi.

BACKGROUND
I have wanted to write an Anakin Skywalker song for several years, but couldn't find the right words until watching the Obi-Wan finale and reading Brotherhood in 2022. I hope you enjoy the song.

The song also features a nod to a 1999 tone poem by Qui-Gon Jinn, and the fantastic themes from John Williams including Anakin's Dark Deeds, Imperial March, Battle of the Heroes, and the Obi-Wan theme.

LYRICS
Under the suns of where you're from,
Who could have known what you would become?
Who holds the blame for all the pain?
If it had been him, would have you turned out the same?

How far you've come, from where you begun.
You wanted to prove that you were the One.
Now I live with shame, for both our names.
What would we have been if you had never been trained?

"I will never fail you,"
"I will never let you down,"
are only words that we say.

But I couldn't save you,
And I couldn't bring you down.
In the end, you are all that remains.

Darkness in your heart,
Was it always there from the start?
You'll find out who you are.
You'll find out who you really are.

What have you won,
After all you've done?
How can you undo what you could not overcome?

What have you gained,
From all you've slain?
Nothing you do will ever explain.
