Full Story of Umar ibn Khattab:::::

Umar ibn Khattab, also known as Umar al-Faruq, was one of the most influential figures in Islamic history, serving as the second Caliph of the Rashidun Caliphate from 634 to 644 CE. Born around 584 CE in Mecca, Umar was initially a fierce opponent of Islam, but his conversion marked a turning point for the Muslim community.

Early Life::::

Umar was born into the respected Banu Adi clan of the Quraysh tribe. Known for his strong build, intelligence, and assertive personality, Umar was well-regarded among his peers. Before embracing Islam, he was a staunch defender of the traditional polytheistic religion of Mecca and was known for his opposition to the Prophet Muhammad and his message.

Conversion to Islam::::

Umar's conversion to Islam is a legendary tale. Initially a fierce critic of the new religion, he decided to kill the Prophet Muhammad to end the new faith. However, upon learning of his sister and brother-in-law's conversion, Umar confronted them but was struck by the words of the Quran they were reading. This encounter softened his heart, leading him to the Prophet Muhammad to declare his faith in Islam. His conversion added significant strength and confidence to the nascent Muslim community.

Contributions as a Caliph::::

After the death of Abu Bakr, the first Caliph, Umar was chosen as his successor. His ten-year reign is marked by significant achievements:

1:Expansion of the Islamic Empire:
Under Umar's leadership, the Islamic empire expanded rapidly. His military campaigns led to the conquest of the Sassanian Empire and significant parts of the Byzantine Empire, including Syria, Egypt, and Palestine.

2:Administrative Reforms:
Umar is credited with establishing a sophisticated administrative structure. He introduced the Diwan system, a form of state treasury, and implemented various administrative and financial policies that ensured the smooth functioning of the empire.

3:Justice and Welfare:
Known for his justice and welfare policies, Umar established courts of justice and appointed judges. He also initiated public welfare projects, including the construction of canals, roads, and inns for travelers.

4:Religious and Social Policies:
Umar was a strict enforcer of Islamic principles but also showed tolerance towards non-Muslim subjects. He established policies that protected the rights of Christians and Jews living within the Islamic state
