Bishop GE Patterson served the body of Christ as an Evangelist, Pastor, Christian Leader, and Presiding Bishop of the Church of God In Christ for many years.

Bountiful Blessings Ministries is a ministry that he established to share God's word through preaching and media.

March 2, 1975, the Bountiful Blessings Ministries began as an official church in the city of Memphis, Tennessee. In 1986, Bishop GE Patterson heard from God to return home to the Church of God In Christ and therefore changed the name of the church to Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ.
