This was my 1st time blending Dixie Belle chalk mineral paint! I made 6 mistakes that you can learn from so you don't make them with your next chalk painting furniture project. I usually restore furniture, but this little table had a lot of missing veneer and damage, so it was perfect for a painted furniture project!

Thank you to ‪@DixieBellePaint‬ for sending me their amazing chalk paint in Collard Greens and Dried Sage for this project along with their Best Dang Brush! Dixie Belle paint colors are so pretty and go on super smooth. Perfect for blending paint projects - especially for beginners like me!

Here are the mistakes I made:
1. Used too much of the light highlight color
2. Didn't keep the paint we enough when blending
3. Didn't turn my brush to keep colors separate
4. Stopped blending too soon
5. Didn't paint the entire surface when blending the top of the table
6. Lifted the base layer with too much brushing and not enough water

If you have other advice for beginner paint blending please put in the comments!
