After recording the Federal Signal Model 7T in Abilene, I drove to the outskirts of Kansas City to see if I could get one of their Federal Signal EOWS 612's. I tried to go to Wellington for their siren test, but there was some confusion about whether they were testing due to the severe weather the night before. So, I settled with Crystal Lakes, which did not disappoint.

This 612 is located off Midway Dr. and Shelly Smith Dam Rd. on the southeast corner of the reservoir. Excelsior Springs Fire Department tests their sirens on the first Wednesday of each month at 11:00 AM.
