Houghton Feast, the ancient festival of Houghton-le-Spring, is held annually every October and originated in the 12th century as Michaelmas. It is now a popular 10 day event featuring a whole ox roasting, fireworks, fairground, carnival parade, church services, history, heritage, music, dance and more!
