Muzium Negara was opened in 1963. The main museum building houses four exhibition halls that showcase the history and rich cultural diversity of Malaysia.
The Prehistory Gallery showcases the formation of the Malay Archipelago with the discovery of a number of important prehistoric sites in Malaysia. Tours are conducted in English, but are also available in other languages such as Malay, Mandarin, French, Korean and Japanese.
