Rice and Peas (Pigeon Peas/Gungo Peas and Rice)
Rice and Peas Recipe or Pigeon Peas Rice. This recipe is made using easy cook long grain rice and pigeon peas/gungo peas. Any type of peas and rice is popular in the Caribbean. Many islands have a favourite pea that they use for their rice. In Jamaica, it's kidney beans; in Trinidad and Barbados, it is dried or fresh pigeon peas.
